Job Summary:
Providing outpatient clinical support, the Medical Assistant (MA) will perform specimen collection, venipuncture, and assist with patient care in a high-volume clinic setting. This role requires proficiency with EHR systems and flexibility to float across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples via venipuncture, typically drawing 1-5 vials per patient.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic electronic health records.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and sanitized.
• Communicate effectively with patients, including pediatric populations, and provide exceptional patient service.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including BLS certification and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in outpatient clinic environments.
• Certification from an accredited school listed on the DAPIP website.
• Valid CA Medical Assistant certification and current BLS (AHA or ARC).
• Recent venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR system.
• Flexibility to float between multiple clinic locations and work with pediatric patients.
