Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a Medical Surgical unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care for post-op orthopedic, trauma, and neuro overflow patients, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Ortho/Trauma unit, including post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly address any changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately using Meditech electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, mobility, and recovery protocols.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in Kansas City, Missouri.
• Demonstrate BLS certification and a minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Possess advanced skills in Orthopedics, Telemetry, and NIH procedures.
• Experience working with trauma and neuro overflow patients is preferred.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work 3 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends.
