Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, ensuring safety, accuracy, and professionalism throughout the entire surgical process. Collaborates effectively with the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough, systematic assessments of patients' growth, development, and clinical status from pediatric to geriatric populations.
• Deliver competent direct patient care activities, supporting the surgical team and utilizing emergency equipment and procedures as necessary.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with guidelines.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility by adhering to policies, procedures, and identifying opportunities for professional growth.
• Respond to patients and families with professionalism and courtesy, promoting patient-centered care and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Follow safety protocols, including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures, and use proper techniques for patient transfers and body mechanics.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and have at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Demonstrate competency in assessment skills, clinical procedures, and documentation standards.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CNOR certification preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, with an Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Show familiarity with perioperative procedures, patient education, and the use of surgical equipment.
