Job Details

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures to evaluate heart function and structure. Collaborates with cardiologists to deliver high-quality imaging and contribute to accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up ultrasound equipment for cardiac imaging procedures.
• Prepare patients by positioning, applying gel, attaching electrodes, and providing clear instructions.
• Capture high-quality images of cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels for assessment.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to evaluate findings and document results.
• Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and ensure proper documentation of patient data.
• Assist with echocardiography on treadmill patients when required, ensuring safety and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; relevant certifications may be required.
• Be currently certified or eligible for certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or CCI.
• Possess an Echocardiography (ECG) certification; BLS certification is preferred.
• Have at least two years of recent experience performing cardiac sonography.
• Maintain current BLS certification and a valid nursing license as applicable per state.
