Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric critical care nursing services within the PICU float pool. Ensure compassionate, high-quality care for pediatric patients across multiple units, adapting to various clinical needs and conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU and related units, following physician orders and established protocols.
• Float within scope to all pediatric units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU, to meet facility staffing needs.
• Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and communicate changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including BLS and PALS.
• Document patient care accurately and ensure patient safety during all clinical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Have at least 2 years of recent Peds ICU experience.
• BLS and PALS certifications from AHA or MUSC-approved provider.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ECMO and CRRT therapies preferred.
• Possess strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
