Job Summary:


Provide specialized nursing care to women in labor, delivery, and postpartum settings. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, coordinate care, and ensure positive outcomes for mother and newborn within the labor and delivery unit.



Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
  
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and assist with deliveries and postpartum care.
  
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum processes and self-care.
  
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
• Participate actively in hospital committees and promote excellent guest relations.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
  
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from approved vendors.
  
• Successful completion of AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course; ongoing every two years.
  
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
  
• EPIC electronic health record system experience.
  
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and adherence to regulatory standards.
