Job Summary:

Assist in the intraoperative care of cardiac surgery patients as a CVOR CST, supporting surgical teams during complex cardiothoracic procedures in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by scrubbing in and passing instruments during procedures such as CABG, thoracotomy, and valve replacements.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols throughout surgical cases.
• Manage and organize surgical supplies and ensure proper sterilization and readiness for surgeries.
• Monitor patient status and assist in maintaining a safe environment during intraoperative procedures.
• Document surgical procedures and assist with post-operative cleanup and equipment sterilization.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with ? 2 years of OR experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience in CVOR or cardiothoracic surgery settings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and thoracotomies.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and on call shifts.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
