Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a mixed acuity unit, including PCU, MS Tele, and surgical patients. Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to unit protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, manage cardiac and telemetry drips, and administer medications per protocols.
• Perform procedures such as IV insertion, blood product administration, wound care, and chest tube management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC and other electronic systems.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including code situations and patient deterioration.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drips.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple complex patients and perform procedures accurately.
• Flexibility to float and work night shifts as scheduled.
