Job Summary:
The PCU RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and stabilization in a 100-mile radius facility. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ clinical, mental, and spiritual needs to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses.
• Recognize and address safety issues, utilizing proper patient handling techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and prioritize interventions.
• Document patient information clearly and accurately in electronic health records.
• Take on charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, providing leadership and supervision to staff.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Possess a valid NY RN license.
• Have current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH required.
• Demonstrate critical care experience; PALS preferred.
• Be a traveler with at least one successful prior assignment; new travelers not considered.
• Possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
