Job Summary:
Registered Nurse responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in the Medical Surgical unit. Collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop tailored nursing care plans based on the nursing process.
• Administer medications, treatments, and necessary interventions in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing staff according to their competencies and scope of practice.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate a minimum of two years recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Possess current BLS certification; ACLS certification required for certain departments.
• Have EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Maintain active certifications in PALS, IV Sedation, and Fetal Monitoring as applicable based on department.
• Be willing to complete department-specific mandatory training and certifications within designated timeframes.
