Job Summary:
Registered nurses in the Medical Surgical specialty provide comprehensive patient care across various age groups, ensuring safety, comfort, and recovery. They work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient education and discharge planning.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and gather relevant clinical information upon admission.
• Develop and modify nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical directives.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to coordinate care delivery and ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff based on their competencies and scope of practice.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
• Have previous experience in an acute care or medical-surgical setting (preferred).
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Obtain and demonstrate competency in dysrhythmia recognition, IV sedation, and related skills within specified timeframes.
