Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety and comfort while managing labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal and maternal status using GE fetal monitoring equipment.
• Manage labor progress, perform cervical exams, and titrate medications as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as NST, cervical exams, and newborn care, including baby catching.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with policies.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR systems (CPN, Meditech).
• Respond effectively to labor emergencies and provide postpartum care when required.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Proven ability to manage labor, delivery, and postpartum situations with efficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to float to postpartum/couplet care units.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
