Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive postpartum nursing care to mothers and their newborns during night shifts. Ensure patient safety, deliver education, and support recovery in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and neonatal conditions, monitoring vital signs and overall health.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care strategies.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Float within units as needed, providing coverage for and support to other postpartum or mother-baby patients.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at submission.
• BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends, with weekend rotations every third weekend.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
