Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the neuro stepdown unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment follow-up. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and unit protocols.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, neurological status, and response to interventions.
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placements with precision.
• Communicate effectively during bedside shift reports, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain equipment and manage supplies necessary for neuro and acute care.
• Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, time management, and clinical skills.
• Hold BLS certification; ACLS certification required for neuro stepdown.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system and critical procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and floating after orientation.
• Proven ability to connect with patients through bedside reporting and daily huddles.
