Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care and patient coordination within the IR/Special Procedures department, ensuring safe and effective delivery of services. Manages patient assessments, monitors vital signs, and operates advanced cardiac and imaging equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and relevant health data to develop individualized care plans.
• Analyze electrocardiograms (EKGs), hemodynamic parameters, and other clinical data to inform treatment decisions.
• Operate specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, cardiac output monitors, and imaging systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate procedures and deliver patient-centered care.
• Document clinical findings, patient responses, and procedure outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Provide post-procedure care and education, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout treatments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in cardiac catheterization, special procedures, or critical care nursing.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with Impella devices and specialized cardiovascular equipment is required.
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekdays, weekends, and after-hours as scheduled.
