Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 48-hour contract in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will provide skilled patient care in a high-acuity neurological and respiratory setting, adhering to unit protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients in a high-risk neurological and respiratory environment.
• Monitor and interpret EKGs and dysrhythmias; pass an online tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float within hospital or to nearby facilities as needed, supporting high-risk and COVID units.
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC and adhere to all documentation protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including IV starts and use of high-flow heated bipaps.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license or valid compact license in the state.
• Demonstrate at least 1:5 ratio experience in SD or PCU units, with ICU experience not applicable.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient RN experience in high-acuity settings.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Be willing to float within hospital as required and work night shifts.
• Travel experience and EPIC charting experience preferred.
