Job Summary:

Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, handling instruments, and ensuring sterile procedures are maintained. Support patient safety and workflow efficiency within surgical environments to facilitate successful procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist surgical staff with positioning patients and handling sterile items.
• Maintain infection control standards by cleaning and sterilizing rooms and instruments.
• Transport patients and surgical materials safely within the facility.
• Support the surgical team in managing supplies and ensuring readiness during procedures.
• Document relevant activities and assist with post-operative cleaning and turnover.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of one year of customer service experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Hold a valid BLS certification and a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to lift heavy items, transport patients, and perform room cleaning/turnovers.
• Have at least 18 months of clinical or relevant surgical technology experience.
• Hold a permanent Ohio license or a valid compact license at the time of submission.
• Provide a reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months.
