Job Summary:
Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care for elective and trauma patients in a hospital setting. Ensure patient safety and compliance with all clinical protocols while supporting surgical teams throughout perioperative phases.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to orthopedic patients during pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages.
• Use orthopedic equipment such as CPM machines, knee immobilizers, and bone foam to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor patient status using EPIC EMR system and document accurately.
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams to address emergent patient needs.
• Adhere to safe patient handling protocols and promote injury prevention.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements, including certification renewals.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience, with trauma experience preferred.
• Be BLS certified; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate EPIC EMR proficiency.
• Complete compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed).
• Be flexible to float across different hospital campuses as needed.
