Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant supports physical therapists in delivering patient care by assisting with therapy exercises, mobility, and treatment plans. This role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes across various settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with stretching, exercises, and mobility techniques as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Read and interpret instructions and treatment plans from the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate directly with the Physical Therapist to modify treatment approaches based on patient progress.
• Communicate with patients and families to identify the best at-home techniques for continued recovery.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy environment and ensure equipment hygiene.
• Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and filing documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a PT aide or in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current PTA license in good standing.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Active State license to practice as a PTA in Missouri.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
