Job Details

Job Summary:
Assists licensed Physical Therapists in providing rehabilitative and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders. Works under supervision to support clinical interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Support Physical Therapists by implementing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Administer procedures such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments.
• Document all treatments, patient progress, and clinical information in electronic health records per regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care and discharge planning.
• Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans, devices, and home exercises.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Possess at least 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in administering therapy procedures and documenting care.
• Maintain compliance with APTA standards and state practice acts.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and patients.
• Ability to support students under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
