Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology patients in a specialized clinical setting. This role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures, promptly addressing any abnormalities.
- Assist physicians with technical setups, sterile techniques, and invasive procedures.
- Document patient care activities, procedure details, and clinical observations accurately.
- Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, post-care instructions, and recovery processes.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and compliance regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state certification.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP lab setting.
- Demonstrate competence in invasive cardiac procedures and patient monitoring.
- Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Show excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
