Job Summary:

The Dental Hygienist will perform routine dental prophylaxis, educate patients, and assist in training dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. This role involves providing preventive dental care and supporting patient oral health.

Responsibilities:

• Perform oral prophylaxis by removing hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth surfaces.
• Apply topical fluoride treatments to enhance teeth protection.
• Expose, develop, and evaluate dental radiographs.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions and diet counseling to patients.
• Review medical and dental histories to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Chart dental conditions and disease progression using Epic Wisdom.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
• Be licensed as a SC Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR documentation (minimum 1-year experience preferred).
• Exhibit strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• No previous experience required; 1 year preferred.
• Be within 25 miles of the facility location.
