Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology (EP) lab setting. Support patients undergoing coronary, peripheral procedures, and device implants while working within a dynamic, multi-modality cardiac team.
Responsibilities:
- Administer patient care during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient responses, and procedural data accurately.
- Prepare and assist in the setup of procedural equipment, including Meditech and MacLab systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to ensure successful procedures and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery instructions.
- Follow unit guidelines, policies, and call schedules to maintain compliance and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Possess minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital experience in a Cath Lab or EP lab.
- Demonstrate BLS and ACLS certification.
- Have experience with coronary and peripheral angiograms, interventions, and device implants.
- Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to adapt to unit needs.
