Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides critical nursing care to patients requiring urgent medical attention. The role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, timely care across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and determine urgent care needs.
• Implement and delegate nursing interventions based on patient assessments and medical plans.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, and other team members to coordinate care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, utilizing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) protocols when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required at time of hire.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire.
• Previous experience in emergency or critical care settings preferred.
