Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients in a critical care setting. Ensure optimal patient ventilation and oxygenation while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory treatments including blood gases, vent/BiPAP, and high-flow therapy.
• Respond promptly to code emergencies and manage airway interventions.
• Manage and operate ventilator equipment such as Servo I & U, V60 BiPAP.
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in EPIC charting system.
• Float between PICU, ED, and adult critical care units, adjusting to various patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact license at the time of submission.
• Possess 1.5+ years of recent respiratory therapy experience, preferably in PICU or NICU.
• Maintain current BLS and NBRC certifications; advanced credentials such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP are preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in blood gas analysis, ventilator management, and emergency response.
• Be able to work night shifts (19:00–7:30) and every other weekend.
• Willing to float across units based on skill set and hospital needs.
