Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients in a hospital setting, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety. The therapist will deliver evidence-based interventions and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies, including ventilator management and aerosol treatments.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all treatments, patient responses, and procedural notes.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and proper use of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RRT credential; CRT not accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR system within the past 2 years.
• Prior experience in teaching hospitals preferred.
• Ability to document all employment history thoroughly, including facility details and work gaps over 90 days.
