Job Summary:
Provide essential patient care in a telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and stroke patients. Deliver quality nursing support and monitor patient conditions to ensure safety and effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care activities including ADLs, blood sugar checks, and vital signs.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring accurate readings and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain documentation of patient status and care provided in accordance with facility protocols.
• Assist with patient mobility and comfort, supporting overall recovery and wellbeing.
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and safety guidelines during shift duties.

Qualifications:

• Hold BLS certification and PCT certification via NHA.
• Demonstrate previous experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac/stroke patient care.
• Possess strong clinical skills in patient assessment and vital sign monitoring.
• Exhibit flexibility to float between shifts and assist in staffing needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
