Job Summary:
Provides high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. Ensures patient safety, monitors vital signs, and collaborates with healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, recognizing abnormal patterns promptly.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Respond effectively to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.
• Comply with all regulatory, safety, and facility policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Ohio license or Compact State license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent, perm experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry within the past 12 months.
• Have active BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification is required prior to start.
• Provide two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Pass the ECG rhythm recognition test with an acceptable score; candidates have two attempts.
