Job Summary:
The IMC/PCU/Stepdown RN provides specialized patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and treatment in a stepdown or intermediate care setting. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret EKG strips, and respond to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, including drips such as Cardizem, Cardene, dobutamine, and insulin.
• Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and interpret results accurately.
• Participate in team and primary nursing models to optimize workload and patient safety.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including N95 fitting and infection control practices.

Qualifications:

• Active state RN license or compact license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience in IMC/PCU or Stepdown units.
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Prior experience with cardiac procedures such as catheterizations, ablations, and pacemaker management.
• Must have recent work history showing 1:5 ratios and SD/PCU experience, ICU experience not accepted.
