Job Details

Job Summary:
Responsible for performing laboratory testing and analysis to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Ensures quality, safety, and compliance with healthcare standards while working within the clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and analyze a variety of laboratory tests including blood, urine, and other specimens accurately.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation consistently checking for proper functioning.
• Follow established protocols and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure specimen integrity.
• Document test results accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and communicate critical or abnormal results to healthcare providers.
• Prepare and review quality control and proficiency testing, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid phlebotomy certification or medical technologist/clinical lab scientist credential.
• Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting with proficiency in laboratory testing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices and quality assurance protocols.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and automation systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret test results accurately.
