Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing advanced imaging procedures to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. They ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety throughout all procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and optimize imaging equipment for interventional and special procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring immobilization.
• Assist physicians during procedures by providing precise imaging guidance.
• Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure functionality.
• Document all procedures accurately in patient records.

Qualifications:

• Current radiologic technologist certification or registry in radiography or equivalent.
• Proven experience in interventional radiology or special procedures.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Ability to operate advanced imaging equipment and contrast media.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and immobilization methods.
• BLS certification required; ARRT certification preferred.
