Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory therapy services to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring optimal respiratory care and patient safety during assigned shifts. This role involves managing ventilation and airway procedures while collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor ventilator support, including high-flow oxygen and BiPAP/CPAP therapies.
• Perform airway management procedures such as emergency intubations, arterial punctures, and A-line placements.
• Assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments in line with physician orders.
• Document patient interventions accurately using the Meditech Expanse system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various critical care units, including ICU and NICU.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple areas as needed and adhere to floating policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Virginia state license as a Respiratory Therapist or CRT/RRT credentials.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of full-time critical care experience in an adult ICU and NICU preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, airway care, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Be ACLS, NRP, and PALS certified.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate patient focus.
