Job Summary:

The EP Lab RN will provide specialized nursing care in a busy electrophysiology laboratory, supporting cardiac procedures and patient management within a Level 1 trauma center. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to clinical changes throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to facilitate accurate and efficient testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EP lab electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Float within scope of practice as needed and assist with related cardiology procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology.
• Possess EP charting experience and familiarity with relevant procedures.
• Be proficient in using EP lab equipment and documentation systems such as EPIC.
• Maintain VA or compact state license at the time of submission.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Complete required background checks and fingerprinting procedures as per VA regulations.
