Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide pediatric occupational therapy services to assess and treat children with developmental conditions, including autism, sensory challenges, and fine motor delays. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans and promote functional improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to identify developmental needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each child's condition and goals.
- Use evidence-based techniques to facilitate progress in areas such as sensory processing, fine motor skills, and regulation.
- Document patient progress, treatment interventions, and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Maintain current certifications and licensure, including BLS, NBCOT, and CA OT License.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid CA OT License or be eligible to obtain one, with a commitment to secure licensure within the required timeframe.
- Possess at least 2 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience, especially in outpatient or children’s hospital settings.
- Certified by NBCOT and certified in BLS (AHA).
- Demonstrate pediatric clinical experience, preferred in outpatient or hospital environments serving children.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for holiday requirements and potential floating within scope of practice.
