Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled occupational therapist with pediatric experience to evaluate and treat children with feeding and developmental difficulties. The role involves comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients with various diagnoses, ensuring quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess pediatric patients presenting with feeding/eating challenges, dysphagia, autism, developmental delays, and sensory processing issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve feeding, swallowing, and motor skills.
- Document clinical findings and progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide education and training to families to support ongoing therapy goals.
- Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program or a Bachelor’s degree with current licensing.
- Possess at least 1.5 years of pediatric therapy experience, with experience in feeding disorders preferred.
- Certified in NBCOT and BLS (AHA).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in California; able to obtain CA license within 6-8 weeks.
- Demonstrate independence in evaluating and managing a full pediatric caseload.
