Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Lead patient education and collaborate with ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions to identify nursing needs and prioritize care accordingly.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, treatment options, and health management.
• Supervise and direct activities of ancillary personnel to promote efficient patient care delivery.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Iowa RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate at least one year of clinical nursing experience, preferred but not required.
• Maintain current immunizations and health screening as per hospital policy.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
