Job Description

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient or clinic setting, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive services. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes and adherence to organizational standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine clinical needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments accurately according to provider orders and best practices.
  • Facilitate patient education on care, medications, and discharge instructions to enhance understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance providers to coordinate care and referrals.
  • Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognize changes in condition, and escalate care as appropriate.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Possess a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Have recent (within last 2 years) case management experience.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence aligned with Alaska BON standards and nursing scope of practice.
