Job Summary:
Assists in providing comprehensive emergency care to patients in the emergency department. Utilizes specialized skills to ensure quality patient outcomes and smooth departmental operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physician orders and established protocols.
• Document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain awareness of patients’ PEDS experience and document travel, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
• Adhere to safety standards, including certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC, maintaining active licensure.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NY RN license with current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Demonstrate 2+ years of recent ED nursing experience, including some PEDS care.
• Verify travel experience and provide documentation of such experience, including driver’s license matching address demographics.
• Hold a driver’s license compatible with current address and meet the travel distance criteria or local requirements.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR system and capable of handling high-pressure, fast-paced emergency settings.
