Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring safe and effective treatment while adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Flexibility to float to related units as needed to support operational demands.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Comply with all clinical and safety standards, completing necessary competency assessments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact state RN license at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in a Stepdown or IMC/PCU setting.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; certifications must be current, with no pending renewals.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including every other holiday, and rotate between day and night schedules.
