Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a stepdown unit for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients. Deliver skilled patient management, monitor complex conditions, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, telemetry, and other clinical data.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including cardiac GTTs.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, epidural management, and tube feedings.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and condition management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatments and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of stepdown or telemetry nursing experience.
• Prior experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery populations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cardiac and vascular cases.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
