Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse provides nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting, focusing on medical surgical and telemetry units. They ensure patient safety, manage acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to arrhythmias.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately in electronic health records.
• Float within scope to support various units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license prior to start date, with pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day.
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic medical record systems, preferred EPIC experience.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
