Job Summary:

Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical/Tele unit providing direct patient care to individuals requiring telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia surveillance. Nights (3x12) support a fast-paced, bedside environment with bedside telemetry capabilities and a standard staffing model of RN and tech per shift.

Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care for medical surgical patients with continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and communicate critical findings promptly.
• Administer medications and perform nursing treatments according to established protocols.
• Assess vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse oximetry, and document patient status accurately.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team to support safe transitions and continuity of treatment.
• Maintain clinical readiness for unit needs through scope-appropriate float as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Compact Registered Nurse license in hand prior to start.
• Possess 2+ years of experience in MS/Tele or telemetry nursing.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certification; complete NIHSST as required.
• Deliver competent, patient-centered bedside care in an acute care setting.
• Support first-time travelers with consistent compliance readiness and documentation.
