Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting high-risk obstetric patients through various stages of labor and postpartum recovery. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being using EMR and medical equipment.
• Conduct procedures such as inductions, C-sections, and IUPCs in accordance with unit policies.
• Administer medications including oxytocin and magnesium, following prescribed protocols.
• Educate and support patients through labor, ensuring compassionate and personalized care.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to execute clinical interventions effectively.
• Document patient status and procedures accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current acute care hospital L&D experience of at least 1 year.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications.
• Demonstrate expertise in high-risk labor, C-section protocols, and obstetric emergencies.
• Possess strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
• Experience with Meditech EMR, CPN monitors, and Alaris/PCA pumps preferred.
