Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver efficient and compassionate care during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess conditions to identify changes requiring intervention.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies using rapid response and code team procedures.
• Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY state RN license in good standing.
• Possess minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Be knowledgeable in use of BiPAP/CPAP, CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal management.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Be able to float across comparable units as required.
