Job Details

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout perioperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by arranging sterile equipment and surgical supplies.
• Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
• Maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment, ensuring proper inventory documentation.
• Follow established protocols for patient safety, infection control, and documentation using Meditech or equivalent systems.
• Participate in post-surgical procedures including dressing applications and patient transfers.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an acute hospital operating room setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries, with flexibility to float to general OR.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
