Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring quality patient outcomes and adherence to hospital protocols. Function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and efficient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy and oxygen management.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret readings to identify changes or deterioration.
• Provide patient education on health management and post-discharge care.
• Document all clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with minimum required certifications, including BLS.
• At least one year of experience in a MedSurg or related setting preferred.
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips is not required but advantageous.
• Comfortable managing patients with ventilators, chest tubes, and chemo treatments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment and documentation.
• Must be willing to float to other MedSurg units as needed.
