Job Summary:

Medical Surgical RN provides specialty nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role delivers care in a collaborative environment while meeting professional standards and applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and nursing needs to guide clinical decision-making.
• Implement individualized care plans and document nursing interventions and outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies safely while monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate plan-of-care updates.
• Perform patient and family education to support recovery, safety, and discharge readiness.
• Maintain compliance with professional practice standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintain current KS Registered Nurse licensure.
• Possess active BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical-surgical nursing workflow and clinical documentation.
• Show readiness to support patient care across multiple med-surg units with appropriate staffing and acuity.
• Bring strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
