Job Summary:

Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapeutic support to an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain mobility, strengthen physical function, and improve independence. This role assists with treatment plans, supports recovery through guided activities, and maintains accurate documentation of patient progress.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementing individualized therapy treatment plans focused on mobility and self-care.
• Monitor patient progress during therapeutic activities and report outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Encourage and support patients through recovery to promote engagement and adherence to therapy goals.
• Teach patients, family members, and caregivers therapy techniques and strategies to support treatment at home.
• Update and maintain patient records in coordination with the care team.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and ensure therapy equipment is properly prepared and in good order.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license as required.
• Possess 1 year of OTA experience.
• Demonstrate LTC or rehab experience.
• Provide experience assisting with therapeutic and self-care activities.
• Show ability to collect relevant patient information and support treatment documentation.
• Exhibit strong communication and patient-focused caregiving skills.
