Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) provides high-acuity emergency care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics in a fast-paced, non-trauma emergency department. The role delivers evidence-based assessment, treatment, and escalation for time-sensitive conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients to determine acuity and appropriate level of care.
• Administer evidence-based interventions for acute presentations, including stroke and STEMI.
• Manage patient care plans in accordance with clinical protocols and care pathways.
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and support staff.
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in Epic.
• Deliver safe medication administration and monitoring using Pyxis.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license (GA or Compact) at time of submission.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Maintain current PALS certification.
• Maintain NIH certification (preferred/required as listed).
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Apply proficiency in Epic EMR documentation and Pyxis medication workflow.
