Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care in a high-volume, busy ER setting, focusing on adolescent to geriatric patient populations. The role requires strong clinical skills, adherence to protocols, and flexibility to work varied shifts and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient care needs in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient management.
• Document patient information accurately within the Epic system and manage supply levels via Pyxis.
• Monitor and respond to critical events, including stroke and STEMI cases, following certification standards.
• Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, and facility policies throughout the assignment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• Proven ability to handle high acuity cases in a large, busy ER with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Experience working with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Valid healthcare license in state of practice, either GA or a Compact state.
